Chapter 8

The warning below doesn't use character names and is presented in the same format I usually use at the beginning of chapters (i.e. "a character experiences xyz.") If you would prefer to read the same warning with character names, click here.---A character’s past sexual assault is maliciously and intentionally posted online, being advertised as a normal porn video. The character sees the video in its entirety and is severely triggered by it, resulting in vomiting (briefly mentioned) and being in a dissociative state for an ambiguous amount of time (implied to be a few days).The character also intentionally seeks out comments on the video in an act of self-harm, and they witness comments that praise them for their “performance,” ultimately implying that their fans prefer to see them broken.Finally, a person the character trusts watched the video without realizing that it ended in assault. This happens "offscreen" and isn't described in the chapter. However, the character finds out that this person masturbated through the first part of the video and loses their trust in them.Note: The video did start out as a normal porn shoot, so the trusted person had no reason to suspect anything was amiss. They never get off to the actual assault. When they see the character become distressed in the video, they immediately know something is wrong and contact the character to alert them.
